Meet Your Coach
MAURICIO CHAMALE
Head Soccer Coach, Northball FC
Mauricio is a former professional footballer whose journey began in Canada. Scouted at 12 years old, he earned an opportunity to train with Burnley FC in England, where he continued his playing career across Europe and South America. He later competed in Toronto FC's Senior Academy, one of the country's top high-performance programs. At Seneca College, he earned MVP honours and most recently captured a Canadian Futsal Championship, highlighting his technical ability, leadership, and competitive edge.
Raised in Markham as one of the few Latin players in his community, Mauricio experienced firsthand how football connects players of diverse backgrounds. Football became more than a sport — it was identity. That perspective now drives his commitment to creating inclusive, high-standard environments where every player feels seen, challenged, and supported.
That vision came to life through The Footy Haus, a player development program fueled by discipline and a genuine love for the game. Coaching boys and girls at every level, Mauricio cultivates an environment where young athletes are challenged to reach their full potential while building both confidence and character.
The Footy Haus proudly partners with Northball Athletics and Northball FC to develop the next generation of players and leaders in the game.
"
The energy at Northball is unmatched! My son learned more in one week here than a whole season elsewhere. The coaches truly care about every player's progress.
